Day 1
Arrival in Costa Rica |
|
Upon arrival at the SJO Airport you’ll be met by a Tour Costa Rica representative and taken to the Park Inn Hotel in downtown San José. If there’s time, spend your afternoon exploring the Capital’s cultural attractions, many within walking distance such as the beautiful National Theater and National Museum.

Day 2
Transfer to Drake Bay – Leisure |
|
You will have an early morning pick-up and transfer to the airport for your in-country flight to Drake Bay, situated on the northern Pacific coast of the Osa Peninsula. Your full board hotel, Casa Corcovado, is nestled within a 170-acre private reserve bordering the Corcovado National Park, known as the country’s “crown jewel” of national parks and considered “one of the most biologically intense places on earth.”

Day 3
Drake Bay – Corcovado National Park and leisure |

Wake to a symphony of birdsong outside your bungalow doors. Today’s adventure will take you deep into Corcovado National Park where an expert naturalist guide will teach you about the park’s 13 ecosystems and the amazing variety of plant and animal species that live there.

Day 4
Drake Bay – Caño Island Snorkeling and leisure |

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the Pacific, you’ll be met by your professional Caño Island guide and fitted with snorkel and swim gear. Known as the “coral garden,” you’re likely to see numerous varieties of coral and colorful marine species such as turtles, stingrays, mantas, puffers, parrot fish, and more.

Day 5
Transfer to Pacuare Lodge – Leisure |

Rise early to catch the plane from Drake Bay to San Jose where you will be shuttled to the banks of the stunning Pacuare River. Arrival via exciting 4x4 to Pacuare Lodge, a National Geographic Unique Lodge’s of the World property.

Day 7

Today is another day of leisure and adventure. Enjoy an unforgettable experience included in the Adventure Package, relax and rejuvenate at the Jawa Juü Spa (meaning home of the healer), or immerse your senses in the iconic infinity pool embraced by the sounds and scents of the rainforest.

Day 8
Transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano – River rafting and leisure |

After an exquisite breakfast overlooking the river, it’s time for an exhilarating morning of whitewater rafting down the vivacious Pacuare. The adventure takes you over class III-IV rapids, through virgin rainforests, monumental canyons, and quaint rural villages and farms. Ground transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano.

Day 9
La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano – Pure Trek Canyoning Tour, hot spring pools, and leisure |

Wake to an awe-inspiring world of natural beauty at the Tabacón Hot Springs Resort, flanked by rainforests and the Arenal Volcano. After breakfast, embark on a mind-blowing Pure Trek Canyoning experience. This highly-acclaimed tour includes three waterfall rappels, a rock wall rappel, rock climbing, and a breathtaking zip line and Monkey Drop.

Day 10
La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano – Hot spring pools and leisure |

Outside, myriad adventures await, such as horseback riding, waterfall hikes, the serene Arenal Lake, a hanging bridge hike over jungle canyons, Arenal National Park, and much more.

Day 11
Transfer to San José – Departure from the Juan Santamaria International Airport |

After a final gourmet breakfast, your Tour Costa Rica driver will take you through the country’s fertile lowland countryside into the Central Valley and the SJO International Airport. The approximate driving time is three hours. Arrive refreshed and rejuvenated, ready for your flight home.
