Day 1
Arrival in Costa Rica |

Upon arrival you’ll be met by a bilingual Tour Costa Rica representative and taken to the Grano de Oro Hotel in San José. A historical landmark, the beautiful hotel celebrates the importance of coffee in the country’s cultural and economic development. Sample exquisitely prepared traditional cuisine - with a gourmet touch.

Day 2
Transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano |

Drive through picturesque countryside to La Fortuna, home of the iconic Arenal Volcano, sweeping rainforests, waterfalls, and the Arenal Lake. Both hot spring and fresh-water pools, a game and billiard room, and a breathtaking view of the volcano await your family at the hotel.

Day 4
Transfer to Tortuguero – Canals & Boat tour |

Today’s transfer to Tortuguero is a tour in itself. Descend through verdant mountains to the Caribbean lowlands where a comfortable passenger boat will take you through the jungle rainforest over enchanting canals and rivers to Tortuguero. Famous nesting place of green, leatherback, and hawksbill turtles.

Rise at dawn for a mystical tour of the canals surrounding your lodge. The fragile jungle and river ecosystems are home to thousands of animal, bird, and aquatic wildlife species. In the afternoon, explore the ruggedly beautiful beaches and Tortuguero Town.

Day 6
Transfer to Puerto Viejo – Leisure |

Rise to a jungle symphony of birds and chirping frogs. After a buffet breakfast, board your passenger boat for a final glide through the forest and transfer to Puerto Viejo on the southern Caribbean Coast. The picturesque beach-town is a Costa Rica favorite for surfers and nature seekers.

Your hotel is surrounded by stunning Caribbean beaches, shady coastal forests, coral reefs, and estuaries ripe for exploration. Visit the Jaguar Rescue Center for an intimate look at the area’s endemic wildlife or discover the fascinating culture and traditions of the Indigenous Talamanca people on a hiking or chocolate tour.

Day 8
Puerto Viejo – Free day |

Awake in tropical paradise. Nearby Cahuita and Gandoca Manzanillo National Parks are great day trips for snorkeling, kayaking, and picnicking on stunning golden-sand beaches. Rent a bike and wind through town taking in the cool Afro-Caribbean vibe and stopping for an unforgettable Creole-infused meal and tropical fruit drink.

Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport – Departure from Costa Rica |

If there’s time, take a final dip in the warm Caribbean waters in front of your hotel. Enjoy the scenic transfer to San José and the (SJO) International Airport. Arrive refreshed and rejuvenated, ready for your flight home.
