The
Café Britt Coffee Tour creatively demonstrates
the cultivation and production of the world's most famous
beverage. The tour, set amidst the breathtaking scenery
at the base of Poás and Barva volcanoes, is a
fascinating multimedia presentation that takes guests
through the process that transforms ripe coffee cherries
into a perfect cup of Costa Rican gourmet coffee. Every
step of this magical process is explained with a theatrical
flourish, from the harvesting of the red beans to the
roasting and final packaging. |

tour ends with a coffee "cupping" session, where
visitors can learn to recognize the distinct characteristics
of true gourmet coffees. The history of the world's favorite
beverage comes to life on this daily tour, offered year
round. From December to March, the afternoon Coffee Tour
takes visitors to the Museum of Popular Culture, located
in a restored turn-of-the-century coffee plantation house.
