Have you ever wondered about the shadowy creatures that inhabit the rainforest when the sun goes down? You know…those creepy crawlies that sent you packing to your parent’s room when you were a little kid? No need to wonder any longer. This excursion will allow you the unique opportunity to venture into a tropical rainforest by dark, after all the regular folks have gone to back to their hotel rooms and put out the lights. You’d be surprised at the amount of activity going on at these late hours. As you carefully make your way through the rainforest, you might spot different kinds of frogs, toads, as well as snakes, nocturnal birds, mammals and many weird insects looking for their next meal (don’t worry, you are not on the menu…at least the last time we checked).
Journey: After picking you up at your hotel at sundown, we take a 20 minute-drive to a private reserve where we begin our nocturnal hike through the rainforest. The duration of this excursion may vary from 2 ½ hours to 3 hours.
