Car Ride to Fortuna Waterfalls
Explore the Arenal area’s most impressive waterfalls
Journey: After picking you up at your hotel, we will drive you to the town of Fortuna, then onto a gravel road that will take us quickly to the waterfalls. Along the way you will enjoy scenic pastureland, tropical rain forest, and rolling hills that offer a great view of the eastern flank of the Arenal Volcano, as well as panoramic views of the Northern Plains.
After a 25 minute-ride you will arrive at the upper section of the 230 foot falls, from where you will enjoy a privileged view of the waterfalls.
Then it really gets fun as we hike down a jungle-laden stairway with handrails to a crystal clear pool at the foot of the cascading falls. Here you might consider taking a dip or resting on the rock outcroppings found along the river banks. The surrounding tropical rain forest provides a breathtaking natural setting with the majestic waterfalls in the background.

Includes: Two way-transportation on A/C minibus to and from your hotel, local guide, entrance fee to the private reserve where the waterfalls are located, and beverages.

What to bring: Comfortable clothes, long pants, hiking shoes, camera, binoculars, insect repellent, and bathing suit if you wish to go swimming, as well as sunscreen lotion during sunny days. |
