Arenal Volcano Horseback Riding
Ford crystal clear rivers and explore lush tropical rainforest as you ride horseback in the shadow of the majestic Arenal Volcano. This tour offers you the opportunity to get an up-close view of this rumbling behemoth as well as enjoy the surrounding landscape accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.

Journey:
After picking you up at your hotel, we will drive you to a horse stable located 2 miles from the Arenal Volcano. Here our tour guide and horses will be waiting to take you on your horseback riding journey towards the volcano. While riding along the pastureland and forest, you might be able to see the northwestern flank of the Arenal Volcano and the panoramic views of the Northern Plains. You may even hear distant rumbling and see the lava flows (depending on the weather you ma even see the crater) that stream down the volcano’s flanks.
After a relaxing one hour horseback ride circumventing the volcano (mostly at a slow pace with occasional moderate trotting and galloping), you will visit two natural lakes, cross a couple rivers and climb some rolling hills before arriving at an observation look out point, only 500 meters away from the new lava flows. From here you will safely contemplate this wonder of nature. Take some time to relax and enjoy the surrounding tropical rainforest which provides a breathtaking natural backdrop to the picture-perfect Arenal Volcano.
