Day 1: Airport meet and greet and transfer to city hotel
Day 2: Transfer to the Pacuare River put-in (Pacuare Lodge)
Early morning transfer to the Pacuare River put-in where you will receive a safety briefing by our guides and then you and your partner will embark on a five mile white water rafting trip (class II-III) to the Pacuare Lodge. Nestled on the banks of the Pacuare River, the lodge offers nature-lovers and adventure seekers one of Costa Rica’s ultimate rainforest experiences. Enjoy magnificent views atop a 30 foot waterfall; glide through a lush treetop canopy or simply snuggle up for the night with your special someone in our luxury River-View suite and let the chorus of native wildlife serenade you to sleep.

Day 3: Pacuare Lodge – Adventure Canopy Tour

The soothing rush of the river and the sounds and scents of the rainforest beckon you out of your slumber. A wall of rainforest cascades down a mountainside right outside your luxurious suite. Close your eyes for just a moment, as you slowly breathe in the refreshing morning air. Then head over to the main lodge for a delicious breakfast of home-made bread, tropical fruits, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereal and juice and coffee. After breakfast you can enjoy the magnificent forest that surrounds you or venture on the our zip-line canopy tour that gives you a bird’s eye view of the rainforest canopy as you glide down an emerald-colored mountainside. Meals are gourmet and by candlelight, in the midst of a sea of green - allowing you and your partner to enjoy a truly magical setting. Overnight in a River-View or Honeymoon Suite.
Day 4: Departure from Pacuare Lodge and Transfer to Arenal
Departure between 9:00-10:00 am. In the morning you will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of white water rating excitement (approximately 3½ hours over class III-IV rapids), including a delicious picnic lunch along the river. At our river take-out you will have a chance to change at our private facilities before being transferred by private minibus back to your hotel in Arenal. Arrival back in Arenal between 6pm-7pm. Day 5: Volcano Hike and Thermal Springs
Free morning to relax at your beautiful hotel. The tour begins at 4pm with a 20 minute trip to the far west side of Arenal Volcano, where you’ll spend about one hour exploring the Silencio Trail (Silent Trail).
Our expert bilingual naturalist guide will show you the various animals, point-out indigenous rainforest plants and educate you about their medicinal properties.
Before dark, you’ll continue to the observation point, which offers a close-up view of the nearest lava flow. Relax, enjoy a drink and listen to the incredible sounds of the volcano. If cloud cover is high enough, expect to see a dazzling display of natural fireworks as molten stone and ash is ejected from the volcano’s cone. Your guide will explain the history of this magnificent volcano as you listen to a variety of frogs, toucans, insects, and watch thousands of lightning bugs.
Your tour continue with a refreshing two hour thermal hot springs visit at Ecotermales del Bosque. Colorful gardens and majestic views provide for an intimately romantic setting.

Day 6: Arenal Hanging Bridges
Located in a 250 hectares protected rain forest preserve not far from the Arenal Volcano, the Arenal Hanging Bridges offer visitors an unprecedented look at the multi-level biological diversity of a tropical rainforest.
You will experience this natural paradise as you walk along a three kilometer trail that includes 15 bridges (six of them are specially designed hanging bridges) that allow you to experience the forest from the ground and from the treetops .The Arenal Hanging Bridges range in size anywhere from 60 meters in height to 98 meters in length.
The bridges offer some of the most spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano.

Day 7: Air Transfer Arenal- Punta Islita (North Pacific coast)
Morning pick-up and transfer by air to the warm waters of Costa Rica’s North Pacific coast. Your destination is Hotel Punta Islita, a secluded paradise of spectacular ocean views, charming luxury, and exciting activities underscored by a genuine commitment to responsible tourism. Overnight at Hotel Punta Islita.
Day 8: Punta Islita
Day 9: Afternoon Flight to San José)
Enjoy the area’s pristine beaches and variety of aquatic activities before boarding a plane in the afternoon back to San José.
Overnight at Xandari Hotel or similar.
Day 10: Departure Home
Today you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your departure flight home.
