Adventure Costa Rica
Osa Peninsula

Hotel Information

Lapa Rios

Nature lovers, rejoice: Lapa Rios spreads out of 1,000 acres of protected wilderness in the Osa Peninsula. Not only is it paradise for birders, beachgoers and naturalists, but the private reserve is also the last remaining lowland tropical rainforest in Central America.

Touring our grounds is a vital and enriching part of the Lapa Rios experience. Our expert guides lead hikes through the rainforest reserve and teach about maintenance, preservation, and the rich biodiversity of the Osa Peninsula.

Set on three scenic ridges, all our 16 bungalows overlook the meeting point of the Pacific and Golfo Dolce. (The sunsets are unparalleled). Walking paths and stairs crisscross the 350-ft. rises, and each lodge is carefully crafted from sustainable material, making Lapa Rios a model ecotourism project.
