No doubt
about the 3 day Pacuare package has been a pleasure in every aspect. The
rafting itself was an unforgettable adventure full of thrills and fun. The
Pacuare Lodge can honestly be called a retreat in paradise. We definitely liked
the lodge with its bathroom built with natural materials, and equipped with
very nice adornments, flower arrangements and all those details – lovely! Not
to forget the food provided and presented like a 5-star restaurant. The Pacuare
experience is a place not to be missed and we will return as soon as possible. The best beginning for us to explore the beauty of
Costa Rica

The trip
exceeded my expectations on all fronts. The
Pacuare
River
area is graced with incomparable
natural beauty. Our guide not only provided expertise and insight regarding the
river, flora, and fauna, but also led exciting day hikes. Hiking up to
waterfalls, climbing up canyons, swimming across rivers….all before breakfast!
I appreciated the pleasant and “can-do” attitude of the staff. The food was
also excellent. I’m grateful to have taken the trip with a company so focused
on highlighting the river’s natural beauty.

rafting was great – good water & good rapids. Guides were excellent. Lodge

Pacuare
Lodge is very beautiful. The accommodations were great. We were very impressed
with the service & attention. The staff is very friendly & sociable. I
always felt very safe. Their concern with Safety is very comforting. Our guide
Fernando was terrific. If we had a question he couldn’t answer, he found the
out right away. Very happy with everything. One
suggestion, I was very interested in the Cabecar way of life and I would have
liked more information on them – like what plants they use for medicines, what
ceremonies they have, their beliefs, do they celebrate marriages, births,
deaths etc. Also how they live, to see a home, where they
sleep etc. I did not want to intrude on them so I did not ask too many
questions. But I would have liked to share something with them and spend some
time with the children & women & learn more about their customs. Thanks

The lodge
was a great escape with beautiful rooms and bathrooms both convenient and
comfortable. Our meals were sizeable, diverse and especially delicious. While
at the lodge the scenery seemed like something out of a Tarzan movie, plus the

What an amazing experience. There was not one moment
of the trip that failed to exceed my expectations. I honestly could not have
dreamed a better vacation than what I experienced with your group. From the
moment that we arrived at the airport & were greeted with warm smiles to
the breathtaking view from the honeymoon suite in the Pacuare Lodge to the
excellent tour / hike through the jungle with Kurt, I cannot say enough

The water rafting experience is a rush, but the jungle
and views around the river surpass any rush I have ever felt. The river is
surrounded by beautiful green forests and waterfalls that take your breath

drivers were fabulous, on time, sweet and willing to do anything for us. The

We are on our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a
better first day and experience in
Costa
Rica
. The
Pacuare
River
is beautiful and our guide knows so much history about the area that even
during the relaxing parts of the trip, we were totally interested in what he
was saying. Even the ride to the put-in spot was captivating; we passed coffee
plantations, growing plantains, and quaint villages. Everything was magical and
an adventure we won’t ever forget!

First-off – I think the host(s) dictates much of the
tone of anything. Mario is clearly an old pro. Very wise man. Very generous spirit. Alex is ahead of his time. Kept
us laughing the whole time – yet was cordial and professional while we were at

The river rafting was a lot of fun. I loved going down
the rapids, especially the class four rapids. The guides were very experienced
and knowledgeable. I was surprised at how versatile they were: guiding us down
the river, cooking, leading bird/canopy tours. The Pacuare Lodge was so
beautiful and I loved all the rooms. I’m a picky eater but I thought the food
was delicious, especially the dinner. The trip was amazing and I would love to
come back again someday.

The lodge
is exotic – enchanting & romantic – too bad I didn’t come here with my
fiancé. Words & pictures can’t do it justice. You have to experience it

A wonderful combination of excitement and pristine environment. I had read about this trip online
and in guidebooks, and knew I had to give it a try. I would highly recommend
the 2 day trip to anyone. The meals are amongst the best in
Costa Rica
. The Lodge had everything one could
need – and still managed to be part of the surrounding forest. The canopy trip
was very exciting, and the guides very professional. Our guide Cholo was
wonderful – a lot of fun, professional and knowledgeable. Our son (age 16) has
high-functioning autism, but is extremely physically capable. Cholo picked up
on this, and checked with us at the beginning of the trip to make sure he could
handle the trip ok. Thank you Cholo! We had an absolute blast!
